Meet Cielle Kenner

Author and Founder of Cielle Media

Cielle Kenner writes magical mysteries with a time-travel twist. She’s also the founder of Cielle Media, an independent studio built to take those stories from page to screen.

Early in her career, she chased deadlines as a newspaper reporter and magazine editor—learning how to tell a story fast, sharp, and true. Then she traded newsrooms for notebooks and started exploring what lies between the seen and the unseen.

Today, Cielle is a certified astrologer, a certified tarot master, and one of the world’s foremost authorities on the intersection of tarot and astrology. Her twenty nonfiction books, including Tarot for Writers and Astrology for Writers, have been translated into fourteen languages.

Her nonfiction works bring metaphysics down to earth—while her fiction lifts readers back into the stars.

Cielle’s stories draw power from ancient myths and legends. Her characters rise from the archetypes of classical astrology—old souls in modern clothing. Her plots move with the quiet precision of a tarot reading, where a single card can speak volumes. Her settings emerge from an allegorical landscape shaped by memory, dream, and reflection. That fusion of symbol and shadow forms the signature of her work: a narrative engine with deep roots and cinematic scope.

Cielle’s life has unfolded across multiple time zones and storylines. She grew up on a family farm in North Dakota, just a few miles from the Canadian border—a quiet place that gave her a taste for big skies, bigger dreams, and books that travel the world. She lived in Brazil as an exchange student, and in Los Angeles, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from California State University, Long Beach. Early in her career, she interned at the L.A. Weekly and covered local news for The Orange County Register. More recently, she spent a month in a garret above a London restaurant while researching one of Queen Victoria’s maids, and another month in a French castle drafting a novel—a project that was featured on CNN.

Cielle now lives in the greater Orlando area, where she owned a haunted antique shop for five years. She shares a century-old house with her husband, a software developer, and their spirited Jack Russell terrier. She and her husband also have four grown children.

When Cielle isn’t writing, you can probably find her cooking or crafting custom cocktails with the sour oranges that grow in her yard.

In every life she’s lived, and every story she writes, Cielle proves that time travel isn’t simply theoretical. It’s also logistical—as long as there’s a laptop handy.

Note: Cielle Kenner is the pen name of Corrine Kenner.
